Recent Projects

No two boats leaving MB Yachts are the same. Martyn and his team of craftsmen specialise in unique interiors, with no expense spared. "We use high quality and exotic timbers for the interior woodwork, and will carry out any special individual requirements the owner might request", says Martyn.

Recent one-off new yacht builds have included a wood epoxy 30' gaff cutter and the fitting out of a  51' aluminium yacht.

Restorations of a classic 60' S&S yawl, and the refitting of Rustler 36s.

They remain the only company to have constructed all three boats in the Tradewind range, including the Atoll  (previously known as the '25')  -  like Chione. See Specifications.

An exciting new project is the development of a brand new design: the Amber 40.

Based on a Rob Humphreys designed hull, the Amber 40 combines the beauty of a traditional yacht with the efficiency of a modern cruising hull.  She has been designed to have the appeal of a classic boat from the waterline up.  A graceful sheer line, an elegant transom and bow (with a short bowsprit) combine with a wealth of exquisitely detailed woodwork and quality hardware to mark her out from the crowd as a yacht of real character.

The interior is designed to have the atmosphere and charm of the past, with the warmth of classic craftsmanship, whilst responding to the needs of modern living.

Below the waterline, Rob Humphreys has designed a moderate hull that combines high stability and good tracking with an easy motion, yet  returns a gratifying turn of speed.

The Amber 40 looks like being an ideal choice for the liveaboard with blue water aspirations, or indeed anyone who appreciates traditional values and fine sailing capabilities.
